What you should know:
Skylar wrote "Meals to Help my Mom" with the goal to show the POWER OF LOVE!
Skylar's love for his struggling mother made him reflect on his gifts and talents that could help his family and ease his mother's burdens.
It is because of his mother's love who created an atmosphere for Skylar to believe in himself taught her son with autism that his "special needs" IS a "gift from God" and SOMETHING our world needs!
My Go-To Inspiration
Hi! I am so excited to tell you a little about myself. First, as you have already guessed, my name is Skylar Armstrong. I am a really positive person and have strong faith in God, and I love to do good things to make people smile, like cooking!
Of course, I have Autism, but I refuse to let that be an excuse not to excel so I challenged myself and wrote my first cookbook, and because I follow my dream have garnered the attention of some very famous people. Chef Roble, of New York who has cooked for presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and other celebrities. Not bad for a Philly kid.
In addition, I am thankful to work with Robert (Bob) Ellis, who has managed some of the biggest entertainers over the years such as Diana Ross, Chaka Kahn, Ronnie Woods of the Stones and the list goes on.
My heart's desire is to inspire through food, so please join me by supporting this project and create new memories with your mom and family.
Also, my DREAM is to meet Chef Gordon Ramsey and attend the famous culinary school Walnut Culinary School in Philadelphia.
